Went on a date night here my wife and it was our first time there. We loved the food, sushi was fresh and delicious. Service was great too even though they were busy.

The place has its own atmosphere, the place is pretty clean, a good place, sometimes you need to wait in order to be seated. The people that attend you are very kind and you can ask for suggestions if you want to try new dishes. The food here is very fresh-made so is tasty, have a lot of flavors. The entries were good, loved the calamari. Then the rolls were on another level, so good flavors and a really good variety. I will return for a new batch of rolls. A recommended place for diners.

Outstanding Fresh Fish! This sushi restaurant exceeded all my expectations! The fish was incredibly fresh, with a buttery texture and rich flavor that made every bite unforgettable. You can truly taste the quality and attention to detail in their ingredients. The menu offers a great variety, from traditional sushi and sashimi to creative specialty rolls. I especially loved the Pirate roll. The service was impeccable—fast, friendly, and accommodating. If you’re a seafood lover, this is the place to visit! Highly recommend!

Edamame w sea salt and sesame oil added was a nice touch. Shrimp fried rice was good but I would have loved it if the wok was scorched to create more of a burnt taste. Jasmine tea was good. Spicy tuna with avocado minus the mango was spot on. But the icing on the experience was Devan?, our server, he was spot on. Will be back again. Good job Sakana!

Quality of food and raw fish is amazing for the happy hour price. After eating many rolls without any modifications, we decided next time we would modify ingredients within the roll (for example, cucumber was in quite a bit of the rolls we got but we felt it would taste better without cucumber and instead with avocado). Again, tasted great but we have had better rolls with different ingredients at other sushi restaurants. Jadyn was an amazing server and was on top of everything during a dinner rush!

Great local spot for sushi. The fish is always extremely fresh! If you come on a Friday or Saturday night expect to wait a little - but it’s worth it! They also have a wide array of other options for food - fried rice, lo mein, etc. I’d say it’s pretty casual in terms of the atmosphere. My boyfriend and I sat at the sushi bar and it was lovely. The service was good but not great- again because they were so busy! Regardless we will be back!

It's an excellent sushi spot in South Tampa. They have creative chef creations along with all the classics. The barbecue squid appetizer was unique and tasty. The sushi were large pieces with lots of flavor. They have a nice wine and saki selection. They have friendly and personable service. If you are a sushi fan, you won't be disappointed.
